Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter review@beautyandfashionfreaks1

After hearing so many bloggers rave about the product and being a sucker of cute packaging, I decided to buy Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter. I had great expectations from this product and was tempted to buy the caramel version too but Raspberry Rose won me over with its graphics. I have been using it since February and here is my take on it.

My take on Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter

The Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter comes in a cute tub packaging and is baby pink in colour. Though the product is supposed to smell like raspberries and roses, I think the smell is much closer to that of strawberry. But it is pleasant and initially I always had the urge to reapply it every 1 to 2 hours as the fragrance does not linger on.

The first time I opened the tub, it looked frozen and I had to carefully scoop it out to apply on my lips. However within a few days it started behaving and acting like lip butter.

True to its claim, it has a thick consistency and spreads easily on the lips. It does not add any colour to your lips and you can easily apply a coat of lipstick over it. If you are willing to apply a lip gloss, wait for a few minutes to let it get absorbed otherwise the mixture of the two feels too heavy on lips.

I have been using the product for quite some time now and though it makes my lips really soft, it also leaves a whitish coat on them.

The first time I applied it, I walked out of the house without looking at the mirror. One of my friends pointed out that my lips look weird and when I checked it out I realized that they were looking pretty strange. After that, I regularly used it for a week ensuring that I let my lips absorb it well but the whitish tinge problem continues to be my bane. I gave it to my mom to try out for a while but she faces the same problem. I don’t know whether it is because of the weather, or maybe I travel a lot and have to be out in the sun for a considerable time or the product itself is like this.

That is why I have started applying Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter in the night when nobody can see me. Apart from this, the product spreads evenly, keeps the lips hydrated and is great lip butter for night time use only. It can be a little heavy though, so apply the product in small amounts. I am really looking forward to use it in winters because my lips get chapped and dry really quickly during winter season and I want to check out my weather theory too.
