My take on Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick Hooked On Pink 065
It has been more than a year now since I am using this lip shade and I liked it a lot. Let us talk about the packaging first. The packaging is very much cute, sturdy and travel friendly. The lip shade comes with a transparent pinkish-purplish cover. So it is very easy to distinguish it from your other lip shades in case you are in a hurry to make a move outside.
The texture of this lip shade is smooth and creamy. It glides effortlessly on lips. The lip shade is highly pigmented without any shimmer. I personally don’t like shimmery lip shades, I like to keep it matte or a little shine is ok with me. It gives decent moisturization. But I prefer to apply a lip balm before this lip shade as my lips gets dry frequently in winters. It has a very mild fragrance.
The shade is very true to its name, very pinkish-pinkyJ. I personally liked the shade a lot, it is neither too light nor too dark. I can use it for daily wear as well as a party wear. For daily wear I like to keep it more natural by swiping it lightly on lips only once and then blending the shade for an even look. For any party or special occasion I apply it properly by swiping it 2-3 times on lips. I guess this shade will be suitable for all skin tones but it will look a little lighter on dark skinned beauties.
The staying power is fine. It stays on lips for around 3-4 hours which I think is pretty decent. Even after eating most of the color, it still leaves behind a faded and very light pink color on lips.
So overall I am very much satisfied with the color, texture and staying power is average.
