Hello gals! How are you doing today?? Hope you all are doing well. Today I am going to share some homemade face masks that will do wonders to your skinJ. But before that, I am going to talk about different face masks we apply on our face. There are generally three types of face masks used, Gel masks, Cream masks and Cleansing masks. 

Gel masks are most suitable for drier skins. They have a base of vegetables, herbs, fruits or minerals, after application they dry to a fine film which can be pulled off easily. Cream masks are very effective to refine or smoothen skin texture. Cleansing masks are useful for deep cleansing. They gently exfoliate dead skin cells. A good cleansing mask has an earth or clay base. Clay brings out impurities from the pores and absorbs the excess sebum from the skin. They are effective in removing blackheads. Let these masks dry first and then wash off with lukewarm water.
 
 
Egg and Yoghurt Face Mask
 
Ingredients: 5 tablespoon of yoghurt and 1 egg white.
 
Method: Beat egg white until it gets stiff then add yogurt and mix well.
 
For oily skin: You can add one teaspoon of lemon juice to the paste.
For dry skin: You can add one teaspoon of honey to the paste.
For combination skin: You can make two portions of the paste, one with lemon juice for the T-zone and other with honey for the rest of the face.  
 
Application: Apply the paste all over face and neck. Leave for 20-25 minutes then wash off with lukewarm water.
 
 
Oatmeal Face Mask
 
Ingredients: 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon oatmeal and milk.
 
Method: Mix oatmeal with milk to make a paste then beat the egg yolk and blend it with the oatmeal paste.
For dry skin: You can add a teaspoon of honey.
For oily skin: You may add a teaspoon of lemon juice. 
 
Application: Apply the paste on face and neck evenly and leave for around 20 minutes. After 20 minutes rinse off with lukewarm water. The oatmeal nourishes and cleanses the skin, on the other hand the egg yolk makes your skin soft and supple.
 
 
Kaolin Face Mask
 
Ingredients: 2 tablespoon of cucumber juice and 2 tablespoon of kaolin.
 
Method: Mix both ingredients well.
 
Application: Apply the mixture all over face and neck. Leave it for 15-20 minutes then rinse off with lukewarm water.
 
 
Turmeric Cleansing Face Mask 
 
Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of turmeric and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice.
 
Method: Mix the ingredients well to make a paste.
 
Application: Apply the mixture all over face and neck then wash off after 15-20 minutes.
 
 
Cleansing Face Mask
 
Ingredients: 1 tablespoon of cucumber juice and 1 tablespoon of oatmeal.
 
Method: Mix both the ingredients well to make a smooth paste.
 
Application: Apply the paste all over face and neck, leave for 15-20 minutes then rinse off with water.
 
 
Cleansing Mask for Dry Skin
 
Ingredients: 2 egg yolks, 2 tablespoon of sour cream, milk, ½ teaspoon of cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of honey and ½ teaspoon of Brewer’s yeast.
 
Method: Add all the ingredients together and mix well.
 
Application: Spread a thin layer of sesame oil or olive oil over face and neck then apply the face mask on it. Leave for 20 minutes then rinse off with water and milk.
 
 
Cleansing Mask for Oily Skin
 
Ingredients: ½ cup of yoghurt, ¼ cup oatmeal(powdered), 2 teaspoon of lemon juice.
 
Method: Mix oatmeal with yoghurt then chill it.
 
Application: Apply the mixture on face and neck, leave it for half an hour. Add lemon juice to water then wash off the face pack with this water to which the lemon juice has been added.
 
 
Fuller’s Earth Face Mask
 
Ingredients: 2 tablespoon crushed fuller’s earth and 3 tablespoon milk.
 
Method: Mix both the ingredients well to form a paste.
 
Application: Apply the paste all over face and neck. Leave for 15 minutes then wash off with water.
